Biography

An Egyptian queen and the Great Royal Wife of Akhenaten, an Egyptian Pharaoh. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshipped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc.

Legacy

Nefertiti is one of the most recognizable figures from ancient Egypt, primarily due to her iconic limestone bust discovered in 1912. She held a position of significant power and influence, and may have even ruled as Pharaoh in her own right after her husband's death.
